Legacy Society

Since 1965, many of Berks County’s senior population have benefitted from the services that Berks Encore provides. In 2010 the Board established the Berks Encore Legacy Society to recognize people who make Berks Encore a part of their estate plan through a bequest or other planned gift. These generous donors are helping to guarantee that the good work of Berks Encore will continue into the future, and we value their legacy.

You, too, Can Be a Member of the Berks Encore Legacy Society

You can name Berks Encore in your will or make Berks Encore the beneficiary of another asset such as a retirement plan, life insurance policy, charitable trust, bonds, securities, certificates of deposit, etc. You can gift real or personal property as well.

Membership in our Legacy Society includes:

  • A special gift
  • Invitations to special events
  • Listing in a selected Honor Roll of Donors
  • Feeling the joy of providing a legacy for the future

Encore Legacy Society Letter of Intent

If you already have Berks Encore included in your Will, we encourage you to complete a Letter of Intent and return it to our office. The letter is an expression of your commitment to Berks Encore and includes the provisions that you are making to support senior services. Please note that this document is not a legal document and is subject to revocation or modification by the donor at any time.

There are many ways to make a gift to Berks Encore. Most of them will give you or your estate a charitable deduction. Your gift will also provide you an opportunity to provide a legacy to future generations who need and can benefit from Berks Encore’s services, including Meals on Wheels, Medicare counseling, free income tax preparation, educational programs and seven senior centers.

If you would like to support our mission, please join the Berks Encore Legacy Society by remembering Berks Encore with a bequest. You, too, can leave a legacy.

Please contact Cameron Martin at 610.374.3195, ext. 223, or contact us online for more information.

No goods or services have been provided in return for this gift. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowable by law.
