Did you know some of our Meals on Wheels Berks County volunteers are also employed full time?

This March, as we celebrate March for Meals, we recognize the dedicated volunteers who make our Meals on Wheels program possible. Many of our volunteers balance full-time jobs while still finding time to give back. Several businesses in Berks County have Adopted A Route, encouraging their employees to volunteer to deliver meals during work hours. This
initiative not only supports local seniors but also fosters teamwork and strengthens employee engagement.
When businesses Adopt A Route for Meals on Wheels, they commit to delivering meals on a regular basis—often once a week or a few times per month—using a rotating team of employee volunteers. The employees that participate experience firsthand the impact of their service, boosting workplace morale. The company strengthens its reputation as a community-minded organization.
